Not a Voter Registration Organization
This website and its tools are for district organizing — not voter registration. Signing up is completely voluntary. We do not register voters and do not administer any elections. The People Primaries process is an independent worker-organized selection process and is not affiliated with any government election system.
Not a Membership Organization
Buildup Cooperative 501(c)(4) (dba People Primaries / VIA US WORKERS) is NOT a membership organization. The Platform is open to all workers who support our mission. Use of the Platform does not make you a member of, affiliate you with, or give you any authority to represent the organization.
Political Activity Disclaimer
No portion of funds paid to Buildup Cooperative 501(c)(4) are used for political campaign activity or to support or oppose any candidate for public office. As a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, Buildup Cooperative may engage in limited political activity that is not the organization’s primary purpose, but does not endorse, support, or oppose candidates for public office.
People Primaries Process
The People Primaries are an independent, worker-led process for identifying and selecting community-supported nominees. The People Primaries are not an election, primary election, caucus, or any official government process. Participation in the People Primaries does not constitute voting in any government election. The results of the People Primaries do not determine ballot access or election outcomes. Nominees identified through the People Primaries who wish to appear on official election ballots must independently meet all legal requirements for ballot access.
Voluntary Participation
All participation in People Primaries activities, including making The Promise, joining a district, or participating in nominee selection, is completely voluntary. No one is required to participate, and there are no consequences for choosing not to participate. No worker will be disadvantaged, harassed, or retaliated against for choosing not to participate.
