The Promise

The Promise — People’s Version

A Promise for Voters Who Demand Representation That Works for Us

We, the workers of the United States, have been betrayed by both parties for fifty-four years. Republican and Democratic leadership alike have sold our jobs to foreign competitors, handed our government to corporate donors, and hollowed out the middle class while pretending to fight for us. We reject this betrayal, and we reject anyone — from any party — who continues it. But we also reject those who would tear down the republic itself. We are not revolutionaries. We are not here to destroy our government, our Constitution, or our way of life. We are here to take them back.

This is our promise. Not a promise made to politicians. A promise made to each other. A promise that the sovereignty of the American people will be restored through the system our founders built — not by burning it down, but by forcing it to work as it was intended. No dues. No cards. No bureaucracy. Just a nationwide network of workers who stand together and demand that those who seek to represent us prove, before they ever take office, that they will work for us and not for the money that corrupts Washington the moment anyone arrives.

We make this promise freely and without reservation. We understand that the system is designed to corrupt anyone the moment they arrive in Washington. We understand that both parties have been captured by corporate and foreign money. We understand that the only way to restore the republic is to change the system itself. And we understand that changing the system requires us — the majority, the workers, the people who actually build and sustain this country — to stand together and enforce accountability that Washington will never impose on itself.

This is what we demand, and this is what we promise to fight for:

Article I: We Demand Representatives Who Refuse Corporate Money

We will only support candidates who refuse contributions from corporate political action committees, corporate lobbyists, and trade associations funded by corporate interests. We will not tolerate corporate money influencing the votes, policy positions, or access of anyone who claims to represent us. A representative who takes corporate money is not representing us — they are representing the corporations that pay them. We know the difference, and we will act on it.

Article II: We Demand Passage of the US Majority Amendment

We demand that every candidate we support commit to voting for the US Majority Amendment within the first 100 days of their term. This Amendment is the single most important structural change we can make to restore the sovereignty of the American people. It breaks the grip of corporate and foreign money on our elections and returns power to the majority — the workers, the families, the communities that actually make this country run. We will oppose any procedural maneuver designed to delay or defeat it, and we will hold accountable anyone who stands in its way.

Article III: We Demand Protection for US Workers

We demand legislation that protects us from retaliation for organizing to secure better wages and working conditions. We demand reform of visa programs that displace American workers from their own labor market. We demand regulation of AI deployment so that the technology serves the American worker rather than rendering us disposable. The government of the United States exists to serve the people of the United States — not the global labor arbitrage strategies of multinational corporations, and not the automation fantasies of billionaires. We built this country. We sustain it. And we will not be replaced by imported labor or exported jobs while our own representatives look the other way.

Article IV: We Demand an End to Foreign Money in Our Elections

We demand legislation that prohibits foreign nationals, foreign corporations, and foreign-controlled entities from influencing American elections through any channel — including trade associations and chambers of commerce that serve as conduits for foreign influence. We demand mandatory auditing and full disclosure of any organization engaged in political activity. Our elections are our business. The sovereignty of the American people is not for sale to foreign interests, and we will not tolerate representatives who allow it to be.

Article V: We Demand Representatives Who Work for Us, Not Their Party

We will only support candidates who vote with the interests of US workers. We will oppose partisan games that sacrifice our livelihoods, our communities, and our futures for political advantage. Our representatives answer to the people who elected them — not to party bosses, not to corporate donors, not to the lobbying firms that write their bills. Any representative who puts party loyalty above the interests of the American worker has violated the fundamental compact of representative government, and we will replace them.

Article VI: We Demand Transparency and Accountability

We demand that our representatives hold at least four town halls per year, open to all constituents. We demand disclosure of all contributions within 48 hours of receipt. We demand an explanation for every vote cast on matters affecting US workers. We will not accept representatives who hide behind closed doors, avoid their constituents, or vote in secret and explain in slogans. Accessibility, accountability, and answerability are not optional courtesies — they are the minimum requirements of public service, and we will enforce them.

Article VII: We Demand Commitment to Mission, Not Career

We will only support candidates who commit not to seek re-election if they have not passed the US Majority Amendment and delivered on their commitments within three terms in the House or two terms in the Senate. We are not sending people to Washington to build careers. We are sending them to accomplish a mission — to change a system that has betrayed American workers for over half a century. Anyone who treats Congress as a career path rather than a mission has already failed the most basic test of public service.

This Is Our Promise

We make this promise to each other — a nationwide network of US workers who demand representation that works for us, not for corporate donors or party bosses. We understand that both parties have been complicit in the betrayal of the American worker for fifty-four years. We understand that the system is designed to corrupt anyone the moment they arrive in Washington. We understand that the only way to restore the republic is to change the system itself.

We stand to change the system. We stand to pass the US Majority Amendment. We stand to restore the sovereignty of the American people. We stand to protect our jobs, our communities, our Constitution, and our way of life from anyone — foreign or domestic — who would undermine them.

This is a personal commitment. No dues. No cards. No bureaucracy. By making this promise, you stand with a nationwide network of US workers who demand representation that works for us — not corporate donors or party bosses. Your promise is your bond. The people will hold you to it.

We are the majority. We are the workers. We are the republic. And we are taking it back.
